In a bizarre partnership that defies usual predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Uncovered
According to the authorized release, "A strange encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of forbidden practices and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden cult.
The questline centers on "strange tests and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Transformations
The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Material
Players who finish the adventure will receive an unique katana together with numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This release also introduces the game's third no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery."
